Tillicoultry is an attractive parkland course in a spectacular
setting at the base of the Ochil hills, affording fine views over
the Devon Valley from its upper section. The short holes are a
special feature of this course. The third, 'Couthie Corner', has a
well-elevated tee and plays to a green guarded by bunkers at the
front and to the right while a large beech tree and out-of-bounds
punish wayward shots on the left. The sixth and 15th, 'Brugglie
Bank', plays 84-yards on the first circuit of the course and
143-yards on the second. Despite its modest length this hole is no
pushover as the green is tiny and protected by a burn on its front
edge.
