Like many great links courses Arbroath is laid out along a
narrow strip of land with the holes going out and back along the
terrain. The course has plenty of hazards, including numerous
strategically placed bunkers and thick rough that borders the
majority of the fairways. And with the Dowrie Burn in evidence on
no less than eleven occasions, you'll need your wits about you
unless you want your ball to meet a watery grave. The greens are
tricky, but good. Incidentally, Arbroath hosted the Scottish Boys
Strokeplay in 1995.
