COURSE DETAILS
The course occupies a historic area around the very attractive Kirk
Loch. The tee shot on the second hole takes you on to the site of
Bruce Castle and when playing the third hole you cannot fail to
notice the huge defensive ditch which helped to protect the site.
Around the Castle was an outer courtyard or bailey - also protected
by a deep ditch. The two together form the typical Motte and Bailey
Castle of the Norman period. Lochmaben, from a gentle scenic point
of view, is possibly one of the most attractive courses in Dumfries
& Galloway.
Booking is advisable in the summer and at the weekends.
Unrestricted tee times between 1000 - 1700 weekdays. Golfing
parties accepted, maximum size 50.
