The 'county' is a true links course situated on the shores of
the scenic Luce Bay in Southwest Scotland. The excellent condition
of the course, combined with the subtly sloping greens and the
changing sea breezes, provide a fine test of golf for both high and
low handicappers. There are three short holes, 14 par fours and one
par five. A large practice area lies adjacent to the first tee and,
because of the sandy soil base and proximity to the sea, there is
rarely a problem with water lying on the course and winter greens
are rarely used.
