Top 5 nine-holes
Good things come in small packages? You
bet they do.
A few rounds on some of these half-sized beauties
and you’ll be wondering why you previously shunned nine-hole golf.
This is the beginning of something special - prepare to land on
cloud nine!
Gairloch, The Highlands
One of the most attractive courses in Scotland,
set beside the golden sands of Gairloch with stunning views across
Gairloch Bay towards Skye and the Outer Hebrides. A tough little
test of golf into the bargain.
Murcar, Aberdeen
Half-sized course is a memorable treat and
remains in excellent year-round condition.
Arran Course
The nine-hole links that’s part of the Colin
Montgomerie Links Academy and partly designed by the man
himself.
Wee Course, Blairgowrie,
Perthshire
A genuine Scottish gem and almost as popular as
its two lofty neighbours, the Rosemount and the Lansdowne. It
features beautiful moorland fairways and is shielded by silver
birches, larches and pines.
Bearsden, Glasgow
The signature hole is undoubtedly the sixth, a
long par four with a subtle dogleg encompassing out of bounds,
lateral water, and an elevated green that lies beneath the remains
of the Antonine Wall.
