Balloch is the gateway to Scotland's first National Park and the Highlands. It offers golf, fishing, walking, sailing, canoeing, mountain bike hire and boat tours. Loch Lomond Golf Course, host to the Scottish Open and The Carrick are both world renowned and less then 5 miles away.

Lomond Shores, a leisurely 5 minute walk combines spectacular views with the opportunity for retail therapy at shops such as Jenners and other leading outlets.

This beautifully situated visitor centre offers family restaurants and bars. You can relax, sample wonderful traditional Scottish hospitality while savouring the spectaculor views up Loch Lomond. Pay a visit to the Aquarium or take a boat trip up the Loch.

A Farmer's market is held twice per month and there are family activities at the National Park Gateway Centre.

Balloch Park, with its historical castle, is 5 minutes away. You can enjoy family walks and activities along the banks of the Loch.

Balloch is attracting many festivals including the Loch Lomond Folk festival, Live at Loch Lomond and the food festival.

Glasgow with its historical and cultural attractions is only 30 minutes drive. Park and ride facilities are available at the Metro. Stirling and the Trossachs are only 30 minutes away.

Visit Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument or the Old Jail. Edinburgh will take you 90 minutes by car. There are bus and train links within 5 minutes of the house.
