A substantial Victorian sandstone residence built in 1894, the house was a former Church of Scotland manse set in a beautiful location on the foreshore of Cromarty Firth.

To the rear is Ben Wyvis and to the front you have 180 degree views over the water. Dolphins, seals, osprey and eagles are some of the seasonal visitors.

The area is a perfect centre for touring with Inverness nearby, John O' groats an easy drive north and Ullapool and the Isle of Skye to the west.

There is easy access to 22 golf courses and to 7 of the east coast's most prolific salmon and sea trout rivers.

The beautifully appointed rooms are all en suite with TV, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities and all enjoy views over the water or hills. Rooms are available on a bed and breakfast basis with dinner and packed lunches an option as well as special weekly or 3 or 4 day inclusive offers.

All meals are freshly prepared using local ingredients, specialising in local fish and meat. Kiltearn has its own smoking facility the product of which is either used in the kitchen or is available for sale.

On the ground floor guests have the use of 2 large, comfortable lounges and a heated conservatory as well as 2 dining rooms. There is TV, DVD, Video, and Hi-Fi as well as a supply of books, board games and jigsaw puzzles for guests to enjoy.

Upstairs there is a “quiet” sitting room overlooking the Firth. Outside guests can enjoy the large mature garden with trees, shrubs and flowers. Those feeling energetic can try their hand at boules or croquet and then relax on the comfortable garden furniture.

For everyone's comfort, it is an non smoking house which is fitted with smoke alarms and emergency lighting for added safety of guests. There is plenty of parking at the front of the house.

Come and enjoy our little bit of paradise. Catch salmon, sea trout and sea bass nearby or try for that elusive hole in one.

Whatever you are looking for a stay at Kiltearn House could help you to live the dream.
