Foulford Inn has a long history (going back to at
least 1785) as a drovers' meeting-place and coaching inn. The
building has been totally transformed to provide guests with modern
and comfortable accommodation.
Centrally heated throughout, there is a
television lounge and games room for your entertainment on the odd
wet day.
The Inn has a well-deserved reputation for its
food, using fresh, local ingredients to produce tasty meals at
reasonable prices.
In every direction there are wonderful views of
the Perthshire hills. You can often catch sight of roe deer, hawks,
owls without moving out of your chair!
The Inn is situated about five miles north of
Crieff, on the way to Dunkeld. Because of its central location,
guests can easily take a trip to Oban, Fort William, Inverness,
Edinburgh or Glasgow, to mention just a few possible destinations.
There are lots of interesting places to visit closer at hand,
including Perth, which has many leisure facilities.
Golfers in this area are really spoilt for
choice. There are many top-class courses to choose from within easy
distance, such as Crieff (9 and 18 Hole Courses), Pitlochry,
Taymouth Castle and Blairgowrie.
The Perthshire Green Card and Highlands Golf
Ticket are available at the inn and we are delighted to book
tee-times for guests. Our 9-hole Par 3 course is an interesting
test of golf for the beginner as well as the experienced golfer and
is free to residents as is our bowling green.
For walkers there are many opportunities to
explore the countryside and enjoy the wonderful scenery. One of
General Wade's roads passes directly beside the Inn and you can
follow it into the Sma' Glen and beyond.
