Halton House is a delightfully decorated and comfortable Arts and Crafts House situated in a quiet central location just off the main Glasgow Road in Perth.

You will receive a warm welcome from your hosts Jody and David Brown. Fishing, shooting and golfing parties a speciality and can be arranged or tailored to suit. Other outdoor activities can also be arranged.

Just a mile from the main motorway network with off street parking and close to rail and bus services, Halton House is an ideal location for exploring the huge range of scenery, heritage, culture or outdoor activities Perthshire has to offer.

We offer a range of high standard accommodation and you will feel very much at home whether you are in town for business or pleasure. Free wireless Internet and tea/coffee making facilities are provided.

For a great start to the day, breakfast is served in a quiet relaxing room overlooking the garden. We use the best local and organic produce whether you choose the full cooked option, or something healthier! Vegetarian options provided. Hopefully you will be treated to sightings of some of the wonderful bird life we have in the trees and hedges in our garden.

Accommodation consists of three bedrooms, one double with an en-suite bathroom which can also be a twin room; one double room with two double beds and private bathroom which can also be a family or twin, and a further double or twin with private bathroom.

Bathrobes and hairdryers in all rooms and ironing facilities provided on request. Our rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard with TV/DVD and wireless internet access. Tea and coffee making facilities are available

A delightful guest lounge with open fire is available for you to relax in after your day’s activities. It also has satellite TV and a selection of DVD/Videos, wireless internet, board games and books.

Evening meals are not provided although we can recommend some excellent restaurants in the area. Packed lunches can be provided for a charge.

We specialise in fishing, shooting and golfing parties and provide drying and storage facilities. We have access to some of the finest salmon fishing on the River Tay and can arrange special packages including ghillies and even a BBQ’s in the fishing hut at the end of the day!!

We also have a range of tackle and equipment for hire or sale and can provide transport to and from the beat to allow you to have a dram to celebrate your catch!!

Dogs may be allowed by arrangement for a charge.

If you are a keen golfer then this is a superb base from which to explore some of the famous Scottish courses. We are less than an hour from St Andrews and Carnoustie, and 20 minutes from Gleneagles as well as being close to a range of other excellent courses.

For the more adventurous there are  some excellent hill walking and mountain ranges, mountain biking through the Perthshire Forests (we are close to national cycling route 77) or even white water rafting all close by. We can provide secure storage for your bikes.

Perthshire is home to some fantastic natural and historical sites. From the Fortingall Yew, the oldest living organism in Europe, ospreys, red squirrels, rivers and waterfalls, the remain of Scotlands ancient Oak forests, through to castles, palaces and the myth of Macbeth, you are spoiled with things to see and do.

So whatever you chose, make sure you chose your home away from home at Halton House.
