Ardmiddle self-catering holiday cottages are set in the heart of rural Aberdeenshire providing the ideal accommodation to explore the scenic North East of Scotland.

Situated just 3 miles from the busy little town of Turriff our charming country cottages are well equipped and furnished to a high standard ready for you to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity in this unspoilt corner of Grampian.

Our cottages provide the perfect retreat to enjoy warm log fires or walk the unspoilt shores, view the wonderfully diverse wildlife or sample the delights of our locally grown produce.

Experience the north-east culture, our unique heritage of castles and ancestral homes, hear the traditional music, discover a taste for whisky or view our country shows and maritime wonders.

Activities abound here, whether you wish to fish the Deveron or try some adventurous North Sea angling while watching dolphins on the Moray coast. Stroll over some of Scotland’s finest golf courses at Duff House Royal, Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen challenging championship standards or the less formidable Turriff or Tairlair,  all in unspoilt settings.

You may wish to explore the character of our coastal villages from Pennan to Portsoy, or visit our renowned architectural heritage and ancient castles of Fyvie  Huntly, Duff House and Haddo.

Or why not indulge in pure Scottish hospitality by meandering through our Glens - Glenfiddoch, Glendronnach and Glenlivet, where the very best of Scottish barley is turned into the water of life - distilled to perfection for you to taste.

The true character of the North-East unfolds at our festivals and shows. The pride of all livestock is displayed before an appreciative audience at the local Turriff Show.

The excellence of breeding whether it is in Aberdeen Angus Cattle, the native breeds of Highland and Shetland Ponies, sheep, poultry, rabbits, pigeons or goats can be viewed every year.

Turiff Pipe Band championships is a great spectacle in the Highland Games circuit which includes The Lonach and Royal Braemar Highland gatherings where Scottish traditional music dance and athletic trophies are contested and won.

Portsoy Traditional Boat festival, Macduff Marine Aquatium and Fraserburgh Lighouse Museum display a maritime way of life past and present here in the North East of Scotland. The Taste of Grampian and our local farmers markets showcase the wealth of Aberdeenshire’s larder.
