A family run business by a local publican
landlord, this spacious, and modern flat gives you home from home
comfort within a perfect high street location. Located above a
local pub, we give you the versatility and comfort of having superb
bar meals served on your doorstep where children are welcome. We
will even cook breakfast by arrangement to add to your holiday
relaxation.
Within the famous Chambers Institute building,
this traditional stone built flat though modern refurbished was
once the old surgery of the well know explorer Mungo Park. A
contrast of the old and the new!!!
Our unique collection of shops that Peebles
boasts will allow you to browse for hours on the comfort of your
own doorstep while offering a range of shops for your convenience
during your stay. The famous river Tweed is only a five minute walk
from the flat where you can stroll along the riverside and take in
the tranquility and wildlife that the riverbanks have to offer.
Continuing along the riverside you will come
across 2 children’s adventure playgrounds and following up from
these is Neidpath castle, now owned by Lady Elizabeth Benson. This
castle is probably most famous for Mary Queen of Scots using it as
one of her many secret places to stay.
There is always a reason to come to Peebles to
join in amongst the locals and their busy annual events including
Beltane festival, Peebles agricultural show, rugby 7s, arts
festival, highland games and many more.
Peebles is a doorstep into the Scottish
Borders where this leading short break destination boasts many
activities including trout and salmon fishing, golfing on one its
many golf courses including the championship Roxburghe and Cardrona
golf courses. Mountain biking can also be done at Glentress and the
red bull downhill challenge.
We are delighted to help co-ordinate your
holida arrangements, organising such as bike hire, rod hire and
freedom of the fairways for your convenience.
The Scottish Borders hosts a special range of
historic monuments and visitor attractions from Melrose abbey to
the historic home of Traquair, Kailzie gardens and osprey watch,
Jedforest Deer and Farm Park and the most famous duke of Roxburghe
home Floors castle.
Just 40 minutes from Peebles is Scotland
capital city Edinburgh that offers great commuting distance for the
Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Edinburgh festival, Scotland’s home of
rugby Murrayfield and the famous Edinburgh Castle. If architecture
takes your interest, Glasgow is a reasonable drive away to discover
Charles Rennie Macintosh and many more like him.
