Situated in the village of Thornhill in
Mid-Nithsdale, Clonwood is a traditional single storey cottage
typically found in Scotland.
Recently renovated and refurbished it is a
cosy and comfortable base to explore and enjoy the many delights
this area has to offer.
Clonwood has a lounge/dining room with sofas,
table and seating for five, a fireplace with an electric fire, and
a fully fitted well equipped kitchen with oven and hob, two
bedrooms, a double and one with three single beds and the bathroom
has a bath with shower over, wc and washbasin.
There is a small porch at the back with a
breakfast bar, leading out to a separate utility with washer,
tumble drier and oil fired central heating boiler which provides
hot water and heating to a radiator in every room. A large private
garden and patio with garden furniture and BBQ.
Enjoy walking and cycling in the Lowther Hills
and Ae Forest, fishing on the River Nith or one of the local lochs.
The Dumfries area boasts many good golf courses including Thornhill
Golf Club.
Thornhill, an attractive village with wide
tree lined streets, has a good variety of shops, takeaways, cafes,
pubs and hotels serving a wide choice of food to suit most
tastes.
