Lochhill is a warm friendly atmosphere, where you can relax, take a stroll to the water fall, or if you feel energetic, go for a ride though beautiful countryside.

We recently had our redundant farmyard buildings converted into four high quality self-catering cottages; The Barn, The Cheese Loft, The Stable and The Dairy Cottage.

All the cottages have spectacular views and each has its own garden area, as well as a shared courtyard to the rear, which is frequently used for BBQ's. We are very proud of the high quality of our cottages and work hard to make sure our guests have a great holiday.

Each cottage has oil-fired central heating and double-glazing. All bed linen and towels are provided and all fuel and electricity is included in the price. Our cottages are all very well equipped, helping to ensure that your holiday will be a comfortable and relaxing one.

Up to two pets are welcome at each cottage and with more than 73 acres of surrounding woodland and field, finding somewhere to walk the dog or take an evening stroll won't be a problem.

Also at LOCHHILL we have a horse and carriage, which we take out daily during the summer, taking visitors on a tour of the historic town of Kirkcudbright.

Adjacent to the cottages we have an equestrian and trekking centre for the horse lover. The ponies and horses are all experienced and we match them to the size and ability of the rider.

Even if you are a total novice, our ponies and trek leaders will take care of you and help you enjoy the experience. For anyone coming on holiday that would like to bring their own horse, American barn style livery is available.

Of course you don't have to be interested in horses to enjoy a stay at LOCHHILL.  We live in a beautiful area that has lots of great places to explore or relax in.

Whatever time of year you come, there will always be something of interest to see and do and we will be ready to provide you with a warm welcome at LOCHHILL.

**Customers staying over the Christmas and New Year period can take a free horse and carriage ride worth £70, with mulled wine and mince pies and juice for the children. Short breaks available over the festive period.**
