cottages set amid stunning scenery on the edge of the Galloway
Forest Park.
Historic Gatehouse of Fleet with excellent
restaurants, shops and Visitor Attraction, beautiful sandy beaches,
cliff paths, glorious gardens of Galloway, rugged hills, gentle
rolling countryside, lochs, golf courses and many places of
historic interest are nearby.
Upper Rusko is a beautiful spacious
traditional Galloway house, sleeping 10-12 with open fires, 2
sitting rooms, dining room, 5 twin bedrooms and one with bunk beds,
2 bathrooms and shower room.
Upper Rusko Cottage is our gorgeous newly
restored “haven in the hills” with 2 twin rooms, one bunk bedded
room, kitchen and living room. As the cottage is all on one
floor it has been converted to be fully accessible for people in
wheelchairs and has a bathroom with bath and wet floor shower as
well as a separate bathroom with shower. These two properties
have beautiful views of the Fleet Valley (one of Scotland's
National Scenic Areas).
Our secluded woodland hideaway, Woodhead
Cottage, is the perfect place for a honeymoon or a romantic break
(with a half-tester double bed) and a roaring log fire for cosy
winter evenings.
The charming Victorian Garden Cottage,
beautifly situated in the grounds of an 18th century mansion house
with its magnificent tall rhododendrons, tennis court and wildlife
garden has a double bedroom, a twin room, bathroom, sitting room,
dining room, kitchen and fenced-in garden.
Fishing is available on Loch Ornockenoch and
the River Fleet with tuition given, stabling and grazing are
available for your own horse and free use of the tennis
court. Rusko is ideally placed in the centre of this easily
accessible and spectacular region of Scotland for touring, and for
enjoying the wonderful walking, cycling, riding, sailing and
wildlife watching - making this the ideal “get away from it all”
