The Breakpad is a modern and friendly bed and breakfast based in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway in the market town of Castle Douglas.

Whether you aim to explore or relax during your stay you will be guaranteed a warm welcome.

The B&B is well appointed with modern interior and a fresh feel.

All bedrooms are on the first floor and each has tea/coffee making facilities,flat screen TV with built in DVD, WiFi, hair dryer, full-length mirror, wardrobe, dresser and information pack. Outside there is off street parking for guests at the rear of the property, and a seated decking area .

Our breakfasts are made with fresh local produce when available and we offer a traditional Scottish breakfast as well as more healthy options. Breakfast is served from 8  until  0900, or earlier by arrangement.

Castle Douglas itself provides a unique shopping experience with a wide selection of specialist shops. The town also has a public swimming pool, a theatre and small brewery. Nearby there is Threave Castle, Threave Gardens, the Galloway red kite trail and water sports at Loch Ken.

Our location provides an ideal base for mountain biking, cycling, walking, golfing, fishing and birdwatching and being outdoor people ourselves we can provide you with a wealth of information and routes. 5 of the 7 stanes mountain bike trail centres are all within a 50 minute car journey from our accommodation
