The Pub has Sky Sports with a big screen and for all the big live games. Play your favourite songs from our up to date Juke box and try your luck on the Bandit/Fruit Machine. If pool is your game then we have a first class table and there is always a local hero willing to challenge you.

We pride ourselves on offering you a friendly and helpful service. We have many contacts and are able to arrange many of the sporting activities for you.

Explore the rich heritage of this varied landscape by climbing the ancient hill fort of Tynron Doon or marvel at the Queensberry Marbles in the elegant church of Durisdeer before taking a stroll along the course of the Roman Road to one of the best preserved fortlets in Britain. Enjoy a tranquil stroll along the un-spoilt Scar Water or a bracing walk with expansive views along a flood bank of the meandering Nith. Those seeking the drama of aster waters should head of the Drumlanrig to Burnmouth or Carron Linns walks.

The impressive sandstone Drumlanrig Castle can be viewed on the Burmouth or Carronbridge walks and is well worth visiting at loser quarters. The 1st Duke of Queensberry built this baroque edifice and modelled it on George Herriots Hospital in Edinburgh.
