A9 Highland Delights

Duration: 2 days

Pitlochry is a lovely Highland town about 90 minutes north of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Not only is it home to Edradour distillery, the smallest distillery in Scotland but it also has a lovely heathland golf course - Pitlochry Golf Course which was designed originally by Willie Fernie and modernised by Major Hutchison. The views from the top of the hill are enough to leave you quite breathless.

Dunkeld & Birnam Golf Course further south has recently been extended to 18 holes and is described as a "wee cracker" with great views over the Tay valley and the Loch of the Lowes. There are a few climbs but you don't notice them as you are so intent on the game.

These golf courses could also be played as you travel up north to Inverness along the A9 or if you wished to extend your golfing holiday in the Perthshire area.
