Course Details

Carricknowe is a par 70, 6, 299-yard parkland course and is set in the heart of the capital, between Murrayfield Rugby ground and Edinburgh Zoo. The course has undergone remodelling and the front nine holes have been constructed to USGA specifications, giving an interesting comparison between the new and the old.

The par four 373-yard second demands accuracy off the tee to a flat area in front of some punishing bunkers, and the second shot has to carry over some further bunkers to the green. The short par three 15th requires a steely nerve - to attack the green or succumb to any one of a series of bunkers.
