Course Details

Maybole is a delightful nine-hole town course that is rather hilly but offers splendid views over the Carrick Hills. Do not be misled by the overall length (the longest hole is 371 yards) and the undulating fairways and small, well protected greens call for shot making of a high standard.

For those staying in rural South Ayrshire this little course provides the ideal wake-up call before tackling the more testing tracts. Pay as you play, at the cash desk for the swimming pool and golf course. There is also a bowling green, which makes the venue attractive to Golfers who can spend the whole day practicing their skills in the water and on terra firma!

Golfers and non-golfers can enjoy miles of sandy beaches, interspersed with parts of rocky outcrops, where seals can bask at low tide. With spectacular views and sunsets, the Firth of Clyde, the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig (a bird sanctuary) enjoy mild weather due to the West Coast Gulf Stream.

Turnberry, Burns Cottage and Tam O'Shanter Experience, Culzean Castle, Dundonald Castle, Royal Troon Golf Course, Old Prestwick Golf Course, Ayr Racecourse, Ayr Low Green, Craigie Estate and Rozelle Estate are all in close proximity.

The Carrick Hills or Galloway Forrest offer hiking or biking opportunities for outdoors experiences.

South Ayrshire Council operates this attraction, which is within a few miles of Glasgow Prestwick International Airport.
