Itinerary - South West

The South of Scotland has a plethora of beautiful golf courses and is an ideal location for a golfing break whether you are travelling by road or by ferry from Ireland.

Stranraer Golf Club is situated three miles from Stranraer on the A718 road to Kirkcolm. With views of both Arran and Ailsa Craig this course is a must for visiting golfers. It is also the last golf course that James Braid designed.

Portpatrick Golf Club is 8 miles southwest of Stranraer off the A77. The 18 hole Dunskey course is a links type course with spectacular views of the Irish Coast, the Isle of Man and the Mull of Kintyre.

Southerness Golf Club is situated 16 miles south of Dumfries off the A710. This Championship links course has wonderful views with the 12th hole overlooking the Solway Firth.
